Edward An, introduces Odessa a small collection of resort wear that can be worn day to night.
Odessa is made to dress a creative woman with a full schedule and travel constraints that might not allow for a change of clothes. She can look effortlessly elegant for everywhere the world takes her. Like she’s on vacation all day long.
Somewhere between an easy-pocketed cover-up and a classic dinner dress, Odessa is designed and made in Los Angeles. Made for the woman who can hop the boat from Saint Tropez to Cannes for dinner or drive the kids from school to pool in Pasadena, sit in traffic, and still make her meeting on the Westside looking effortlessly elegant for the launch of her new book.
The collection’s concept launched when designer Lori Schlachter-Batt of Edward an asked artist April Street to join forces to design a line with the label but the two could never find time to meet. While April was on her way to Italy, and Lori was sitting poolside with her two children, planning out her next five stops in Los Angeles, the two friends decided to make clothes that fit their own busy lives. Drawing inspiration from many busy, successful women they know and love, they realized that comfortable poolside party dresses that could be worn from day into evening were a necessary wardrobe addition.
Odessa was created to capture the spirit of LA’s endless summer and add international elegance into timeless styles that can be worn all year long as Odessa follows her path across the Globe. So even though you may not be strolling the streets of the famous cities that give our clothes their namesakes, you can confidently walk into any situation dressed perfectly for your own busy sun-filled life.
